Marijn de Bruin is a behavioural scientist with expertise in the development, evaluation, synthesis, and implementation of health behaviour interventions in the healthcare context. Much of his research is focused on supporting self-management & medication adherence among patients with long-term illnesses, such as asthma, HIV, cancer, and heart failure.
Marijn also has a strong methodological interest in running high-quality and efficient behavioral trials, and novel approaches to meta-analysis of behavioral interventions to maximize our use of available evidence. In that context he has extensive experience with synthesizing trials of numerous health and healthcare professional behaviors, such as hand hygiene; medication adherence in HIV, diabetes, and asthma; smoking cessation interventions and weight management programs for people with severe obesity.
