Bart Geurts studied philosophy in Nijmegen and was employed by International Business Machines Corporation and several universities in Germany and The Netherlands before he returned to his alma mater to become Professor of Philosophy of Language and Logic. He has published widely on topics in semantics and pragmatics and related fields, including developmental psychology, social psychology, and autism research.
